Description

Although survival rates are low (with a five year survival rate of 14%), recent advances in lung cancer screening, early detection and treatment options are expected to contribute to improvements in survival rates.

This is a free education session that will provide an informative and relevant update for GPs on lung cancer, with presentations from specialists on a range of topics.

Learning outcomes

At the end of this symposium, participants should be able to*:

  2. Discuss changes in treatment options for lung cancer
  3. Identify support services available to patients undergoing lung cancer treatment
  4. Summarise current trends in smoking behaviours in WA
  5. Outline late – and long-term effects of lung cancer treatment.
